HOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT EMBOSSER ORIENTATION
What does embosser orientation mean?
Orientation simply refers to the side of the paper or envelope you’ll be embossing from.
(In the video above, the embosser is being used from the bottom, onto the envelope flap.)
There are four orientation options: Top, Bottom, Left, and Right.
When we create your custom embosser, we permanently fix the engraved plate in one of these directions — so choosing the correct orientation ensures your design is pressed in the right spot, every time.
What will you be embossing?
ENVELOPES : To emboss envelope flaps, you’ll need a Bottom orientation embosser. This allows the impression to be made cleanly along the lower edge of the flap.

PLACE CARDS / BUSINESS CARDS / FAVOR TAGS : These can be embossed from any direction - but Bottom tends to be the most popular choice.
HEADED PAPER / INVITATIONS / MENU : A Top orientation embosser is the best choice when you want your design to appear at the top of a page.

BOOKS : When choosing an embosser for books, start by thinking about where you want the impression to appear on the page. The most common choices are Bottom or Right orientation — which place the embossed design along the bottom edge or right-hand side of each page, respectively.
Can I emboss from more than one direction?
No, unfortunately the embossing plates are fixed into position and can only be used to emboss from the direction selected.
