This collection is all about love and is centred around the national flower of Japan, the Sakura aka Cherry Blossom. The Sakura symbolises the beginning of spring, a time of optimism and renewal making it a beautiful metaphor to include in your wedding festivities!
The Sakura holds a very special place in the hearts of the Japanese people. When the Sakura is in bloom they partake in a national practice called Hanami - which literally means to enjoy the transient beauty of flowers and is a pastime with deep cultural and religious roots. They celebrate with picnics, dinners and parties underneath the Sakura Trees. Throughout the design and development process of this stunning new collection, we were inspired by the beauty of the Sakura in Japan and also the beauty and poetic nature of the Japanese language. Both inspirations are clearly evident throughout this exquisite new collection.
For this Cherry Blossom collection, we wanted to create something that felt soft, gentle and romantic, but also full of life, vibrancy and promise. Cherry Blossoms are delicate, light, airy, they invoke a feeling of excitement, hope and love whenever we see them. They are the perfect floral accompaniment for a romantic, spring-themed wedding. It was an absolute pleasure to design this collection, the Cherry Blossom is the most spectacular bloom and we are thrilled to devote a whole collection to showcasing her feminine beauty. As with all our collections, it was very much a labour of love but worth every second!
